Modern Slavery Statement
Man with Van Finsbury Modern Slavery Statement
This Modern Slavery Statement sets out the approach of Man with Van Finsbury to identifying, preventing, and addressing modern slavery and human trafficking risks within our operations and supply chains. We are committed to conducting business ethically, transparently, and in full compliance with applicable laws, and we recognise our responsibility to respect and promote human rights in all aspects of our work.
Our Zero-Tolerance Approach to Modern Slavery
Man with Van Finsbury has a clear and unequivocal zero-tolerance policy towards all forms of modern slavery, forced labour, child labour, and human trafficking. This applies to our direct operations and to all third parties who provide goods or services to us, including suppliers, subcontractors, and agency workers.
We expect all individuals and organisations associated with Man with Van Finsbury to uphold the highest standards of integrity and respect for human rights. Any indication of involvement in modern slavery, whether direct or indirect, is treated as a serious breach of our values and may result in immediate action, including termination of contracts or working relationships.
Our Operations and Supply Chain
Man with Van Finsbury provides professional transport and moving services. While our direct workforce is relatively small and centrally managed, we recognise that modern slavery risks can arise within broader supply chains, such as vehicle leasing and maintenance, fuel supply, equipment purchase, temporary labour, and outsourced services.
We seek to work only with reputable suppliers and service providers who share our commitment to ethical and responsible business practices. We continuously assess our relationships and adapt our controls to reduce any potential risk of labour exploitation.
Supplier Standards and Audits
We expect all suppliers and contractors to comply with relevant labour, employment, and human rights legislation and to uphold standards that are consistent with this Modern Slavery Statement. As part of our due diligence, Man with Van Finsbury:
Conducts risk-based assessments of key suppliers, focusing on sectors and locations that may present higher vulnerability to modern slavery or exploitative practices. Requires confirmation from new suppliers that they operate in compliance with modern slavery legislation and that they implement appropriate safeguards within their own supply chains. Reserves the right to request evidence of supplier policies, training, and controls relating to modern slavery and labour standards. May conduct periodic audits or reviews of suppliers, either directly or through documented self-assessments, to verify adherence to our expectations.
Where concerns are identified, we work with suppliers to address issues promptly. If a supplier is unwilling or unable to take corrective action, we will consider suspending or ending the business relationship.
Training and Awareness
We are committed to raising awareness among our team members about modern slavery risks and indicators. Relevant staff are informed about our zero-tolerance policy and their responsibilities in identifying and reporting potential concerns. We aim to build a culture where ethical behaviour and respect for human rights are embedded in everyday decisions and actions.
Reporting Channels and Whistleblowing
Man with Van Finsbury encourages all employees, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to report any suspicion or evidence of modern slavery or exploitative labour practices. Concerns can be raised confidentially through internal reporting channels or directly to management. We will investigate all reports promptly, sensitively, and, where possible, confidentially.
We do not tolerate any form of victimisation or retaliation against individuals who raise concerns in good faith. Issues substantiated through investigation will be addressed without delay, and we will cooperate fully with law enforcement or relevant authorities where appropriate.
Continuous Improvement and Annual Review
We recognise that tackling modern slavery is an ongoing process. Man with Van Finsbury is committed to continually improving our policies, due diligence processes, and supplier engagement to better identify and mitigate risks. This Modern Slavery Statement is reviewed at least once every twelve months, or more frequently where required by changes in legislation, our business activities, or identified risks.
Following each review, we update our approach as necessary, ensuring that our commitment to combating modern slavery remains robust, effective, and aligned with best practice. This Statement has been approved by the management of Man with Van Finsbury and represents our current position and ongoing commitments in relation to modern slavery and human trafficking.
